“ Our local guide recommended this place for the best waffles in the town centre and near our river cruise ship dock. We absolutely loved the offering of waffles and the variety of toppings/combinations at this café. We tried both the Bruxelle and Liege waffles with different toppings (including custard) – everything was delicious! The menu is fun to look through as well. Waffles were fluffy, slightly crispy, fragrant, and they were simply and neatly plated. You won’t leave this place hungry! The waffles went well with an iced latte as we sat outside in the sunny afternoon listening to the church bells ring. Service was quick and efficient. Every server was extremely friendly and helpful. Many tourists come here, so it’s definitely worth a visit! There’s a nice, relaxing atmosphere as we sat in the church square waiting for our order to arrive. Tables are spread apart enough so you don’t hear conversations from other tourists. ”

“ Location is outstanding, food is great. It was the best waffles I have ever tasted. Portions are big and if you take savoury one, you will be full for sure. Price in average is 20 euro for waffle and coffee/tea. Sweet options are a bit cheaper. The only downside was service. It was extremely slow. 10 minutes waiting for menu, 20 minutes waiting for somebody to take your order and then 30-40 minutes waiting for food to be served. ”

“ We were walking around the old town taking it all in and came across the House of Waffles on the edge of the cathedral square. There is plenty of seats (most outside) which was great because it is such a vibrant area and had a great view of the cathedral/square. (Perfect for people watching if you like that sort of thing). When I think of Belgian foods, I think of fries and waffles - I know there are lots of other foods but those two are definitely my favourites (I don’t really like waffles back home, so that says a lot about these ones). I thought that the menu was very well put together, great photos of each dish, lots of fun pictures and good information. We ordered both savoury and sweet waffles and all three dishes were gobbled up and loved. This place is a MUST when you are visiting Antwerp! ”
“ Even before walking into the restaurant, you can smell the vanilla linger in the air. Surprisingly, before you even know it, you find yourself asking for a table. I opted for outdoor seating and it did not disappoint. Traveling solo allows you this leisure - to sit in peace and people watch. I decided to order the Liege and Brussels Waffle to satisfy my sweet tooth. Now I did not realize there were two different types of waffles. The Liege waffle is shorter and chewier - with a caramelized sweet flavor. The Brussels is usually rectangular and is lighter and crispier. I ordered mine with a side of bananas and strawberries, caramel sauce and of course I had to get the vanilla ice cream. The team was attentive and friendly. Definitely glad I ended up here during my solo trip. ”

We ordered three different kinds – one with fresh strawberries, another with banana and chocolate sauce, and a third with berry jam. All of them were absolutely excellent and a delicious treat for everyone. The waffles truly lived up to our expectations, being perfectly prepared and wonderfully satisfying. While the waffles were fantastic, we did notice that despite the restaurant being half empty, the staff didn't seem particularly engaged or swift with service. They weren't unfriendly, but the overall pace and attentiveness could have been a bit more energetic. That said, the quality of the waffles shines through, and that's ultimately what we came for. If you're looking for genuinely good waffles in Antwerp, this is a solid choice. ”
